July 7, 1939 - August 12, 2014

Ruth Ann Dallman, 75, of Edgerton, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, at the Stoughton Hospital. She was born on July 7, 1939, in Edgerton, daughter of the late Clarence Albert and Marie Elizabeth (Taylor) Bratzke. She was united in marriage on Oct. 1, 1955, to Harold Dwight Dallman at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Edgerton. Ruth Ann gave her everything to her family and friends…her kindness and generosity, her time and attention, her helping hands, her nonjudgmental acceptance, her wise honesty, her tenacity, her realistic and grounding frankness, her warm sense of humor, and her unconditional love. She loved to cook for others - both personally and professionally - and frequently provided dishes for events with family and friends. She also worked for many years at Lord’s Liquor Store (though she was a teetotaler herself) and the Showboat and Sundown taverns, serving friendship along with her fish fry. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, playing cribbage, baking, cooking and traveling, but her special love was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Ruth Ann is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Harold of Edgerton; two daughters, Carrie Eiden of Indianford, and Joan Myers of Edgerton; two sons, Harold (Melissa) Dallman of Janesville, and David (Jean) Dallman of Edgerton; seven grandchildren: Jason (Jill) Dallman of Janesville, Jeremy Dallman of Beloit, Brianna Dallman of Janesville, Vickie (Dale) Eiden-Carder of Madison, Sara Lund of Janesville, Stacy Lund-Finn of Edgerton, and Rachel (Eric) Veum of Sun Prairie; seven great-grandchildren: Kaden and Keagen Dallman, Vivienne Carder, Madison and Brooke Lund-Finn and Samantha and Andrew Veum; one brother, Duane (Linda) Bratzke of Edgerton; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Raymond Eiden and James Myers.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, at the EHLERT FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, US HWY 51 N, Edgerton, with the Rev. Barbara Wells officiating. Burial will be in the Fassett Cemetery. Friends may call at the FUNERAL HOME on Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
