Dawne J. Milestone, age 82, of Shullsburg, WI, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014, at Agrace Center for Hospice and Palliative Care in Janesville, WI. She was born Oct. 26, 1931, in Scales Mound, IL, the daughter of Burl and Grace (McGuire) Bleakley. Dawne graduated from Scales Mound High School in 1949. She was united in marriage to Carroll W. Milestone on Nov. 24, 1949, at Scales Mound Methodist Church. Dawne lived and farmed in Seymour Township, with her husband until moving into the City of Shullsburg, in 1980. She worked at the Lafayette Manor Nursing Home in Darlington, as a Nurses Aide and also at Advance Transformer in Monroe, and Borg Instruments in Darlington. Dawne was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Darlington, and of Wardsville Homemakers Club. She looked forward to spending time with her family and friends. Dawne will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Dawne is survived by one daughter, Diane (Jerry) Lux of Janesville, WI; one son, Clark (Denise) Milestone of Columbia City, IN; and seven grandchildren: Tammy Bastian, Tony (Tonia)Bastian, Tammy (Gregg) Kauffman, Sarah (Adam) Bilinski, Cody Milestone, Jason (Kari) Heidenreich, and Phil (Becky) Boylan; 11 great-grandchildren: Mitchell, McKenzie, Tevan, Chad, Kyle, Travis, Payton, Piper, Davis, Dayne and Addison. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carroll on Aug. 2, 1986; and one daughter, Melody Milestone on Jan. 12, 2008.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014, at 1:30 p.m. at O'FLAHRITY-ERICKSON FUNERAL HOME, 235 North Judgement Street in Shullsburg, with Rev. Jeffrey A. Meyer of Centenary United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Shullsburg, WI. A visitation will be held at on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014, from 11 a.m. until time of service at the FUNERAL HOME. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com.
