BELOIT—Beloit police are asking the public for help in finding a man in connection with a June 27 shooting.

Police on Friday issued a news release, saying they are looking for Floyd L. Poe, 25, described as 5-foot, 6-inches tall and 170 pounds.

Beloit police are seeking Poe on a warrant charging first-degree recklessly endangering safety in connection with a shooting at Summit Park on June 27, when a 25-year-old Janesville man was wounded.

Poe also is wanted by the state Department of Corrections as a parole violator, and Beloit police want to question Poe about “other violent crimes” in Beloit, the news release states.

“Poe should be considered armed and dangerous,” police said.
