Intoxicated driving arrests
--CHRISTOPHER C. WINCHESTER, 26, of 3631 W. Bass Creek Road, Beloit, at 8:59 a.m. Monday at 1049 Afton Road and South Willard Avenue, Janesville. Winchester is accused of hitting another vehicle and fleeing the scene.
--JEWELRY THEFT reported at 12:01 p.m. Sunday on South County J, town of Clinton. Taken was $14,000 worth of jewelry: two gold rings, one silver ring, a tie clasp, and a gold necklace.
--BURGLARY reported at 5:09 p.m. Monday in the 5500 block of East Freedom Lane, Beloit. Suspects stole two video game consoles along with several games, DVDs and miscellaneous items valued at more than $5,000. Suspects kicked in the front door, doing $400 damage, according to the police report. The home next door suffered a kicked-in door as well, but nothing was reported stolen.
--BURGLARY reported at 10:33 a.m. Sunday in the 1500 block of North Sumac Drive, Janesville. A resident left his garage open overnight with his vehicle inside. Reported stolen were gift cards from the vehicle’s glove compartment.
--ATTEMPTED BURGLARY reported at 7:38 p.m. Saturday in the 200 block of Oakland Avenue, Janesville. Four screens were cut from a home’s windows. The victim doesn’t believe the home was entered or anything was stolen, according to the report.
