--BRADLEY S. RADLOFF, 35, of East County A, town of Johnstown, at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Rock County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of child abuse. He is accused of striking the lower back side of a 9-year-old boy he knows on Friday evening, leaving a purple mark in the shape of a hand that required medical treatment. His address was blacked out in a sheriff’s office report.

--ALAN H. BAUER, 38, of 4722 W. Graham Drive, No. 6, town of Janesville, at 9:13 p.m. Friday at his residence on charges of substantial battery and disorderly conduct, both as incidents of domestic abuse, and a warrant charging possession of drug paraphernalia. He is a accused of assaulting a woman he knows.

--MICHELLE L. HEEREY, 45, of 152 S. Locust St., Janesville, and MARY L. TRACY, 52, of 321 Caroline St., Janesville, both on charges of burglary and theft, in connection with the theft of an estimated $75 worth of scrap metal from a residence in the 7500 block of North Fox Road, town of Porter, on Thursday or Friday.

Intoxicated driving arrests

--JOHN M. BARTUS, 21, of 21 W. Jefferson St., Darien, in the 12000 block of West Highway 81, town of Newark, arrested on a charge of causing injury by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle after a traffic accident at 11:03 a.m. Friday. Also arrested on a probation hold.

--HAL D. HENDRICKSON III, 22, of 806 Kellogg Ave., No. 1, Janesville, at 2:36 a.m. Saturday at Court Street and Atwood Avenue, Janesville.


--ESCAPE reported Saturday at the Rock County Jail, Janesville. Inmate Carlos V. Caban, 38, of 607 Chestnut St., Janesville, was allowed out of the jail on work-release and did not return. He was serving a nine-month sentence with a release date of Sept. 9, according to a sheriff’s office report.

--BURGLARY to a residence in the 200 block of Oakland Avenue, Janesville, reported at 8:36 p.m. Aug. 2. Taken were goods valued at $530, including a 41-inch TV, tablet computer, iPod, cellphone and Nikon camera.

--THEFT of two city of Janesville recycling containers left at the curb, one in the 600 block of Harding Street, reported at 1:28 a.m. Monday, and the second about an hour later in the 600 block of Benton Avenue.

--BURGLARY to a residence in the 300 block of South Washington Street, Janesville, reported at 12:18 a.m. Sunday. Reported taken was a Kindle Fire valued at $80.

--VANDALISM reported Friday in the 12000 block of East Hake Road, town of Johnstown. Ten mailboxes were reported damaged.

--BURGLARY to a residence reported at 1:06 p.m. Saturday on North Rock River Drive, town of Fulton. A flat-screen TV and Sony DVD player were reported taken.

--BURGLARY to a garage on North Connor Road, town of Janesville, reported at 4:39 p.m. Saturday. Reported taken were a battery, a manhole cover and 5 gallons of gasoline with a total estimated value $107.

--BURGLARY reported at 4:58 p.m. Saturday in the 1100 block of Church Street, Janesville. Nothing was taken.


--SHAWNTELL F. CASTROGIOVANNI, 17, of 2062 Beloit St., Orfordville, charged with second-degree recklessly endangering safety. She is accused of accelerating towards a man she knows in a parking lot at 3023 Milton Ave., Janesville, on Friday. The man jumped into the air to avoid a collision and struck the vehicle’s windshield, according to the criminal complaint.

--CARLOS LOPEZ RAMOS, 17, of 1215 W. Court St., Janesville, charged with aggravated battery, as a party to the crime. He is accused of being part of a group of people who assaulted a 16-year-old boy July 27 at Court and Pearl streets, Janesville. The boy suffered a cracked skull, brain bleed, broken ankle and other more minor injuries. The boy also suffers residual effects from the beating, in which he was kicked and had his head stomped into the ground, according to the criminal complaint.
