Raymond W. “Toot” Bund, died on Aug. 8, 2014, at home. The son of Fred and Lillian (Baird) Bund, he was born on March 17, 1927, in Madison, WI. He graduated from Brooklyn High School, Brooklyn, WI, in 1945. He married Betty Steele on May 14, 1949. She died on July 20, 1977. He later married Dorothy Alt Donaldson on June 24, 1978. Dorothy passed away on Nov. 1, 2013.

Raymond enlisted in the U.S. Army after High School graduation, where he was stationed at Camp Gordon, GA. He later served in Germany, and returned as a Sergeant. After his return from the service, Raymond hauled milk for Bowman Dairy in Brooklyn, for two years. He also worked for Gateway Transportation and retired from J.P. Cullen Construction in 1990. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 160, Brooklyn, WI, and was a member of Teamsters #579. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge #197 for many years and served as acting administrator, treasurer and received a Fellowship Degree. Raymond was a member of First Lutheran Church, Janesville, serving as an usher for many years. Raymond loved to dance.

Survivors include his son, Terry Bund; stepchildren, Ralph (Judy) Donaldson and Carol (Tom Miller) Smout; stepdaughter-in-law, Jan Donaldson; step grandchildren: Kris (Dave) Barr, Scott (Nell) Johnson, Craig Donaldson, Brett (Patti) Donaldson, Lee (Liz) Smout, Sara (Phil) Davis and Rusty (Mary) Aide; step grandchildren: Zachary and Jacob Barr, Camden and Tehya Johnson, Claire and Brock Donaldson, Tristen, Lucas and Benjamin Donaldson, Naomi, Tyler and Brooke Smout and Phillip and Adam Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Betty; his second wife, Dorothy; brother, Durward; step son, Harvey Donaldson; step son-in-law, Lowell Smout; and step granddaughter, Callie Domstrich.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014, at FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH, Janesville, with Rev. James Melvin officiating. Entombment will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park, Janesville. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014, from 5 until 8 p.m. with a Moose Service at 8 p.m., at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, Janesville. Those serving as Pallbearers are David Barr, Scott Johnson, Craig and Brett Donaldson, Lee Smout and Phil Davis.
