I would like to declare my support for Sue Enloe for the position of clerk of courts for Rock County in the election Aug. 12. Sue has 24 years of experience in the office of clerk of courts. Sue is a very credible and deserving person for this position.

How do I know all this about her? I am a police sergeant in Clinton and have been for more than 34 years. During that time, I had many occasions, in the more than 24 years she worked there, to speak with Sue for many matters of the courts. Whenever I had a question, she would nearly always give me the answer. On the most rare occasion she could not answer my question, she always got back to me—quickly, I may add—with an answer. She never steered me wrong.

The clerk of courts is not a new position, and the law dictates much of how things must go. That being said, the clerk of courts must first of all be trustworthy. Next, the clerk must understand that all court records must be maintained and presented properly. I feel that Sue can and will do this and do it very well.

I am confident that Sue is the only deserving candidate for the office of clerk of courts and hope you feel the same way and vote for her Aug. 12.
