Rose M. Shaw, age 90, of Janesville, died peacefully at home on Monday, Aug. 4, 2014. She was born on the Stone Farm outside of Evansville, on July 19, 1924, the daughter of John and Eva (Grok) Galauner. She married Kenneth Shaw 62 years ago on Oct. 24, 1944, in Cumberland City, NC, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 25, 2006. She had been a member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary.

Rose is survived by her son, Kenneth (Sandra) Shaw of Ohio; daughter, Debra L. (Lynn) Bell of Janesville, who cared for her the last 12 years; step daughter, Jerene (James) Schultz of Janesville; 10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lee Murvin of Simi Valley, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; five brothers: John, Stephen, Peter, Nicholas and Joseph Galauner; and three sisters: Ann Kelly, Mary Birley, and Eva Pratt.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 8, 2014, at ST. WILLIAM CATHOLIC CHURCH with Rev. John Auby officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the CHURCH. Interment will be in East Lawn Cemetery, Beloit.
