Evelyn Jeannette "Evie" Ellefson, 95, of Edgerton, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014, at Prairie Home Assisted Living in Menasha, with her loving family by her side. She was born on March 3, 1919, in Edgerton, daughter of the late Edward and Elsie (Lemke) Jacobson. She was united in marriage to Amberg Ellefson on May 28, 1938, in the Central Lutheran Church parsonage by Rev. Vernon Giere. Amberg preceded her in death on Dec. 22, 1973. She was a member of Central Lutheran Church, Edgerton. Evie's greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was a member of the Martha-Rachel Circle, the Altar Guild, Krazy Quilters, AFS, and the Sterling North Society. She also served on the Board of Directors for the Albion Historical Society, delivered Meals on Wheels and served breakfast for the children at school.

Evie is survived by one daughter, Marilyn (Bill) Helmeid of Appleton; one son, David (Linda) of Lawrenceville, GA; 11 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Joan Lyke and Jean Stricker, both of Edgerton. She was preceded in death by one sister, Clarice Purnell; three brothers, Lawrence, Earl and Allan; and one granddaughter, Sarah.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014, at the CENTRAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, Edgerton, with the Rev. James M. Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Jenson Cemetery, Edgerton. Friends may call at the CHURCH on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014, from 9 AM until the time of the service.
