ELKHORN--A convicted sex offender is moving to Elkhorn, according to a news release from the Walworth County Sheriff's Office.

William G. Pounder, 93, will move to the Just Like Home assisted living facility, W5140 County A, Elkhorn, on Aug. 19.

Pounder was convicted in 2005 of repeated sexual assault of a child.  In 2002, he was convicted of second-degree sexual assault of a child, according to court records.

The Department of Corrections will supervise Pounder. He will have to wear a bracelet for electronic monitoring. He may not have unsupervised contact with minors, nor enter any taverns or liquor stores.

Pounder is not wanted by the police, but if anyone has information of Pounder engaging in illegal activity or violating his rules of supervision, they should contact either the Walworth County Sheriff's Office at 262-741-4400 or the Division of Community Corrections at 262-741-6360, the news release said.

Information about sex offenders that is used to threaten or harass registered sex offenders “will not be tolerated,” the news release said.
