TOWN OF LINN—A Monday morning fire destroyed a hay barn in the town of Linn.

Sixteen jurisdictions, including Clinton and Darien fire departments, responded to the structure fire at W3647 County B, said town of Linn police Sgt. James Bushey.

The call came in at 7:32 a.m., Bushey said.

The barn is away from other property located on the corner of County B and Zenda Road, Bushey said, and did not damage other buildings.

The barn had about 1,800 hay bales. No animals or people were injured in the fire.

Bushey arrived at the scene at about 8 a.m. and saw flames fully engulfing the barn and hay bales, he said.

The cause and damage estimate remained unknown Monday evening.

As of 3 p.m., crews remained on scene pulling hay bales out and extinguishing the fire.
