Robert Haver Geffs quietly passed away on July 9, 2014. He was born in Janesville, WI, July 21, 1925. He was a cadet at Northwestern Military and Naval Academy. Bob graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1949, with degrees in Philosophy and Law. Bob was a Lt. Col. in the Civil Air Patrol as Commandant of Cadets. He practiced law in Wisconsin for 17 years. He was also involved in the Jaycees, where he was instrumental in getting the seat belt law passed in Wisconsin, and Kiwanis organizations. In 1955, He was State President of the Wisconsin Junior Chambers of Commerce. In 1970, the family moved to Phoenix, AZ, where Bob started a new Trust Department in the Arizona Bank at Sun City. In 1983, he transferred to the Arizona Bank in Green Valley, which merged with the Bank of America, and he become Vice President of the Trust Department. He retired from there in 1988. Bob was an avid reader and enjoyed his twice daily walks. He also spent lots of time driving and camping, exploring Arizona. Bob will be missed by many family members and friends.
Bob and Sally were the parents of five children: Susan (Sam) Harlan of Tucson. AZ, Sandra of Green Valley, AZ, Robert (Kristie) of Phoenix, AZ, Sarah-deceased, and David of Phoenix. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Marguerite; his wife, Sally; and a daughter, Sarah.
