Five sheriffs, others, endorse Rock County Sheriff Robert Spoden
JANESVILLE--Rock County Sheriff Robert Spoden on Monday announced endorsements of five fellow sheriffs and others for his re-election bid in the Aug. 12 Democratic Party primary.
The endorsements include Dane County Sheriff Dave Mahoney, Walworth County Sheriff David Graves, Green County Sheriff Mark Rohloff, Sauk County Sheriff Chip Meister and Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth, according to a news release from the Spoden campaign.
Also endorsing Spoden are the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 890; International Association of Machinists Local 1266; Carpenters Local 314; Laborers Local 464; Plumbers Local 75; Roofers, Waterproofers Local 11; Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 118; Plasterers & Cement Finishers Local 599; Bricklayers Local 7; Sprinklefitters Local 669; Heat and Frost Insulators Local 4630; Communications Workers Locals 84811; and Communication Workers Local 4630.
Other endorsers are state Sen. Tim Cullen, state Rep. Andy Jorgensen, former state Sen. Judy Robson, former state Rep. Chuck Benedict and Rock County Board members Larry Wiedenfeld, Betty Jo Busse, Rich Bostwick, Tom Brien, Billy Bob Grahn and Jason Heidenreich.
Spoden faces Gary Groelle in the Aug. 12 primary.
