JEFFERSONTOWN, Ky.—Janesville's undefeated run through the 9U Ohio Valley Regional continued Saturday with two more victories.

The victories put the No. 1-seeded Janesville team into the regional semifinals. Janesville plays Mattoon (Illinois) while St. John (Indiana) plays Connersville (Indiana) in the other semifinal today.

The winners play for the regional title later today.

Janesville opened Saturday's single-elimination play with a 10-0 victory over Huron Valley, Michigan, in five innings.

Dylan Snyder pitched the first three innings, and Jack Ryan completed the shutout with two innings.

Snyder went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and was named the player of the game.

Jake Schaffner and Jack Adams each went 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Janesville then edged North Harrison (Indiana) 7-6 with a run in the bottom of the sixth to advance to the semifinals.

“We persevered in one of the best 9U games I've ever seen,” Janesville coach Matt Stried said.

Connor Dillon drew a walk with the bases loaded to bring in the game-winning run. An error and two other walks set up the winning run with two outs.

Ian Perkins pitched 3 1/3 innings and Schaffner went the final 2 2/3 to preserve the victory.

“Our defense again was the story,” said coach Stried. “Despite a few lapses, we made the plays when we needed to.”

Joseph Stried played a solid game at second base with four assists. Catcher Brent Klukas caught all six innings.

Perkins was named the player of the game.

The No. 2, 3, 5 and 6 seeds were eliminated Saturday.
