I am very impressed with Peter Severson, who is running for Rock County clerk of courts.

I've gotten to know Pete through the Janesville Community Coffee that meets every Thursday morning at local establishments. Pete is a down-to-earth, sincere person.

Pete has lots of experience in the state court system. He has been working with CCAP (Consolidated Courts Automation Programs). CCAP is an agency of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. As part of his job for CCAP, he has visited over 40 clerk of court offices statewide, provided help desk support to every county office over the last year and maintained support for every clerk of court over the last several years.

Pete has been involved in software for the other agencies of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, including the Board of Bar Examiners, the clerk of the state Supreme Court and the Office of Lawyer Regulation. His experience is overwhelming.

Also, Pete is committed to serving Janesville. He served five years on the Janesville Board of Education. He was recently elected the treasurer of the Boy Scout Troop 405 Committee. Pete has taught Sunday school for the last four years at St. John's Lutheran Church and is in his first year as a Foundation Board Member. Besides all of that service, he is also working with the Rock County Chapter of the Ice Age Trail Alliance.

Pete's experience and friendship means a lot to me. He has my vote.
