JANESVILLE—Robert E. Schuh, 1518 S. Willard Ave., was being held at the Rock County Jail after being arrested on a charge of fifth-offense drunken driving Wednesday night.

According to a Janesville Police Department news release, shortly after midnight an officer observed a pickup truck make an illegal U-turn in the 1100 block of Center Avenue. When the officer caught up to the vehicle and checked its registration, he learned its registered owner, Schuh, 43, had a revoked driving status. The officer made a traffic stop on the vehicle and determined Schuh smelled of intoxicants. Schuh admitted he had been drinking.

After Schuh failed field sobriety tests, he was taken to the county jail where a blood sample was taken. Results are pending.

Schuh also was cited for operating after revocation, no insurance and for making an illegal U-turn.
