Your views: Wisconsin a great state for show skiing
The Rock Aqua Jays have a spectacular ski show and proved as much by taking first place in Division 1 competition in Wisconsin Rapids last weekend.
The scores of all the Division 1 teams (nine to be exact) were listed in the Gazette. I was disappointed that I did not see the scores of the division 2 and 3 teams. Teams in Division 2 were from Brown's lake, Tomahawk, Shawano, DePere, Florence, Nekoosa, Eau Claire, St. Germain and Whitewater Lake.
The Whitewater team placed sixth out of nine teams. Award winners on the team were Brandon Schleicher, who won the Jack Lukes Outstanding Male Skier Award, and Erin Doolittle, a student at UW-W, placed fifth in the individual swivel competition.
Teams in Division 3 were from Wisconsin Rapids, Eagle River, La Crosse, Crivitz, Waupaca, and Lauderdale Lakes.
I just wanted to let the readers know that Wisconsin is a great ski show state and there were 24 teams entered in this three-day event.
