Donald W. Sprenger, 88, of Mesa, AZ, formerly of Edgerton, WI, passed away July 18, 2014. He was born to William and Adela Schultz Sprenger in Watertown, WI, on March 30, 1926.

Don graduated from Watertown High School. On Aug. 8, 1948, he married Clara Hensel at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Edgerton, WI, where they, then, worshipped for over 45 years. They enjoyed 61 years of happiness before her passing in 2010. Don worked at the Edgerton Store in Edgerton, WI, for 41 years before retiring in 1989. He was also a member of the Edgerton Lions Club for many years. Don and Clara moved to Apache Junction, AZ in 1996.

Don is survived by his son, Steve (Sandy) Sprenger of Gilbert, AZ; grandson, Casey Sprenger (Danielle Barnes) of Tucson, AZ; great-grandchildren, Madison and Sofia Sprenger (Lily and Ayden Barnes) of Tucson, AZ; sister-in-law, Barbara Sprenger of Arlington Heights, IL.; nephew, Joseph (Cristen) Sprenger of Arlington Heights, IL; nieces, Laurie (John) Hemker of Lawrence, KS and Nancy (David) Rudnitzki of Janesville, WI; special nephew and his wife, Gary and Sue Janes of Janesville, WI/Apache Junction, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Clara; his brother, Bill Sprenger; and sister in-law and her husband, Hazel and Bill Keller.

A memorial service will be at 1: p.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at MOUNTAIN VIEW LUTHERAN CHURCH, Apache Junction, AZ.
