JANESVILLE—A masked man threw a brick through the front door of Stop-N-Go, 1804 E. Milwaukee St., late Monday night before stealing items from inside, Janesville police reported.

Officers responded to a burglary alarm at the business at 11:30 p.m. and found the front door smashed, Lt. Jimmy Holford said.

Items were reported stolen from the counter and from behind the counter. How much isn't known. Store managers were taking inventory, he said.

Security camera video shows a lone masked male throwing a brick through the door before entering.

Police don't have any reason to believe the incident is connected to an armed robbery about an hour later at the Baymont Inn, he said.
