TOWN OF JANESVILLE—The Rock County Sheriff's Office on Monday morning identified the woman who died in a lawn mowing accident Saturday.

Sue Flynn, 67, died after a riding lawn mower rolled over on her, according to a news release issued Monday morning.

Deputies were dispatched to North Polzin Road and West Fenrick Road in the town of Janesville at 3:08 p.m. Saturday. Flynn lived at 6036 W. Fenrick Road.

Deputies found her partially trapped under a small riding lawn mower that had tipped upside down, a Sunday news release stated.

Flynn was not breathing and did not have a pulse when deputies arrived.

Deputies started resuscitation efforts until the Janesville Fire Department paramedics took over.

She was transported to Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center, Janesville, where she was later pronounced dead, the release states.

The investigation shows she was mowing the lawn near a small culvert, got too close to the edge and the lawn mower tipped and rolled over.

Investigators suspect the mower was on top of her for 15 to 20 minutes before a witness found her and was able to use a car to pull the mower off enough to partially free her, according to the release.
