Robert Carlton Vivian, age 59, of Hillsborough, NC, passed away June 24, 2014, at Alamance Hospice Center in NC, after a brief battle with stomach cancer. He was born in Sumter, SC, to his parents, Mary Edith Vivian and the late Doug Wilder. Rob was a graduate of Craig High School, served in the Army that led him to NC, where he enjoyed an adventurous life of sales, traveling, running marathons, spending time with family and friends, karaoke, and rescuing animals. He had a great sense of humor, and will be greatly missed.

Rob is survived by his mother, Edie Vivian of Lady Lake, FL; his children: Jamie Vivian (Andrea) of Garner, NC, twin daughters, Alexis Vivian and Heather Vivian, both of Mebane, NC; his siblings: Leslie Cook of Orlando, FL, Ginny Linn of Edmunds, OK, Donna McLaughlin of Sumter, SC, Kelly Vivian of Madison, WI, and Wheeler Vivian of Raleigh, NC; four special grandchildren; and many close nieces, nephews, aunts, uncle and cousins.

A Memorial Service was held on July 12, 2014, at LAMBS CHAPEL, NC, followed by a Celebration of Life Party. Memorials may be made to Keeper of the Wild Home, 181 Tree Farm Rd, St. George, SC 29477. Condolences may be sent to Edie Vivian at 12 Bobs Dr., Sumter, SC 29150.
