Gerald Wilson, 75, of Beloit, WI, died Thursday, July 24, 2014, in his home. He was born July 5, 1939, in Ortonville, MN, the son of Clifford and Verna (Schroeder) Wilson. Gerald married Joan Skillings on Dec. 29, 1962, in Brainerd, MN. Gerald was a design draftsman and worked for many years at Beloit Corporation. He, later, became a master gardener and volunteer for several years at Rotary Gardens in Janesville, WI. Gerald liked to fish, hunt and taxidermy in his younger years and loved doing his gardening.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Joan Wilson of Beloit, WI; children: Keith Wilson of Beloit, WI, Michael (Jodi) Wilson of Harrison, AR, and Melissa (Andy) Bradley of Janesville, WI; grandchildren: Stephanie Wilson, Tasha Rigby-Wilson Jazmine King, Hunter King, Krysta King and Taylor Wilson; great-grandchildren; brother and sisters: James (Mary) Wilson of Merrifield, MN, Nancy (Rob) Robison of Merrifield, MN, Marjorie (Steve) Hofner of Pillager, MN, and Betty (Don) Schultes of Maple Grove, MN; mother-in-law, Lois Skillings of Beloit, WI; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and a niece, Denise Hofner.

The family expresses its heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful caregivers at Beloit Regional Hospice.

A Remembrance of Life will be held at a later date by the family in Wisconsin and Minnesota. Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements.
