Your Views: Post office drop boxes in Janesville are not user friendly
Please picture this scenario: You are a woman less than 5 feet tall who has driven up to the only mail drop behind the Post Office. Please note there is only one that is extra wide and extra tall, and mail is picked up at 5:30 p.m. once a day now.
OK, so you roll down your window and realize the box is taller than you can reach from your car. There is a line of cars behind you, patiently (I hope) waiting for you to leave. You must move your car so you can open the door, put the car in park and release your seat belt. Now that you are standing, you find that you must really stretch to reach inside enough for the mail to actually fall (you must listen because there is no way you can see it).
Now, I ask you this question: Can you now understand why the U.S. Postal Service is going bankrupt? All this hassle is not worth the effort. I'll be using the Internet from now as much as I can. I’m also taking this opportunity to notify family and friends not to look for Christmas cards this year. I cannot reach the box to mail them!
