Richard "Big Red" Lee Weller, 78, of Delavan, WI, formerly of Beloit, WI, died on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at Beloit Memorial Hospital in Beloit, WI. Richard was born on Jan. 13, 1936, in Iowa City, IA, the son of Earl and Vera (Boyer) Weller. He served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1957, and then in the reserves from 1957 to 1962. In 1968, Red married the former Sandra Withrow in Decorah, IA. Red was employed for more than twenty years at the Chrysler Assembly Plant in Belvidere, IL, retiring in 1992. He also owned and operated Cross Road Bar in Beloit, WI.

Richard is survived by one daughter, Rhonda (Steve) Deschner; two sons, Ryan (Debbie) Weller and Ronald Kaye; and four grandchildren: Brantly Deschner, Brock Deschner, Brian Deschner, and David Weller. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Weller.
