BELOIT—The Beloit Snappers couldn’t figure out Bowling Green’s Bruedlin Suero until it was too late in their 7-3 loss Monday.

The Hot Rods starting pitcher put up six zeros while his teammates backed him up with five runs of support to pick up the win.

Luis Baez finally got the best of Suero in the seventh with a two-run home run to left field to give Beloit a glimmer of hope that it might rally in the late innings, but Bowling Green responded with a pair of runs in the top of the eighth to reclaim momentum.

Bowling Green’s Tyler Young hit a solo homer in that inning, part of a 3-for-4 day at the plate for the third baseman.

Snappers right fielder Tyler Marincov had another good day at the plate, recording two more hits, including an RBI double in the bottom of the eighth.

Beloit is off today before starting a three-game road series against the Fort Wayne TinCaps on Wednesday.
