Janesville woman arrested in stabbing incident
JANESVILLE—A Janesville woman is in jail on suspicion she stabbed her boyfriend in the arm during a domestic dispute in early Sunday.
According to Janesville Police Department reports, police arrested Alisa M. Golden, 43, of 309 W. Van Buren St., Janesville, for first-degree recklessly endangering safety after a report that a Janesville man had a stab wound in his upper arm at a residence in the 300 block of West Van Buren Street.
Police were called to the incident at about 1:40 a.m. Sunday.
When police arrived, the man, who police said is Golden's boyfriend, was outside the residence with Golden, according to police reports. He had a blood-soaked towel wrapped around his arm, according to reports. Inside the house, officers found a bloody steak knife which police suspect Golden used to stab the man in the arm, according to reports.
The two had been arguing, police reported, but it's not clear what led to the apparent stabbing.
The man was transported to Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center, Janesville, where he was treated and released, according to police.
Golden is being held at the Rock County jail pending an initial court appearance.
