TOWN OF LA PRAIRIE—Authorities arrested a town of Rock man on suspicion of his fifth drunken driving offense after a deputy reported finding him passed out at the wheel of a car Friday morning.

According to a release, the Rock County Sheriff's Office arrested Michael P. Freet, 55, town of Rock, on a charge of fifth-offense operating while intoxicated at 11:58 a.m. Friday.

A deputy found Freet slumped over the steering wheel of a car that was parked askew across the driveway with its tail partway in the shoulder at the 4700 block of County G in the town of La Prairie, according to the release.

The deputy woke Freet and observed “the presence of alcohol,” according to the release.

The sheriff's office reports Freet has had four prior arrests for operating while intoxicated in Wisconsin and Missouri, according to state Department of Transportation records.
