Clifford M. “Kip” Snudden left this world to eternal life on Monday, July 14, 2014, at Lakeland Health Care Center. Kip was born May 9, 1922, at home in Linn Township, to Harvey and Anna (Haase) Snudden. Kip was a 1940 graduate of Lake Geneva High School and farmed with his Dad at the beginning, but later, went on to school for accounting. Kip married Marilyn Melges on Dec. 27, 1956. He was a bookkeeper for Melges Boat Works, De Laval Company, Gage Marine, and retired from Snudden Farms in 2013, when his health just would not let him go to the farm any more.

He was the last living charter member of the Linn Fire Department being the first secretary/treasurer. He and his brother, Donald, were the first two 4-H exhibitors to have steers at the Walworth County Fair. His 4-H career continued into his adult life and he was a 4-H Dairy Leader for Linn 4-H for many years, also serving on the 4-H Senior Leaders Executive Board. Kip was a member of the Lake Geneva Masonic Lodge for 49 years. He was also a life member of Linn Presbyterian Church.

Kip is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Marilyn; his daughter, Ann (Roger) Williams of Sharon; and his son, Steve (Yvonne Korbel) Snudden of Lake Geneva; along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Kip was preceded in death by his parents; brother Donald; and son-in-law, Kenneth Leonard

Visitation will be Saturday, July 19th from 9:30 until 11:30 a.m. with the funeral at 11:30 a.m. at LINN PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, W3335 Willow Road, Lake Geneva, WI. Interment will be at Linn-Hebron Cemetery, Hebron, IL. TOYNTON FUNERAL SERVICE, 328 Kenosha St., Walworth, WI, is in charge of services. Memorials may be made to the Time Is Now in memory of Kip.

A very special thank you to the loving staff at Golden Years and Lakeland Health Care Center for the wonderful care you gave Kip in his last days. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
