Milton consignment shop to host fundraiser, food drive
MILTON—A Milton consignment shop will host a sidewalk sale fundraiser and food pantry drive to benefit Independent Disability Services and the Milton Food Pantry.
The sale and drive at Kim's Kloset, 237 Parkview Drive, Milton, is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16.
Kim's Kloset is a women's and children's consignment shop. The sale is fill-a-bag, which means customers can fill a grocery bag with items for $10. Sale items will include brand name clothing, infant through adult women sizes; shoes; toys; books; puzzles and games.
Cowley's Piggly Wiggly will supply the bags. All proceeds will go to Independent Disability Services, a local non-profit agency that provides support and services to individuals with disabilities and special needs.
Clothing that isn't sold will be donated to Moms On a Mission Exchange, which is a group of local moms helping people in the community meet their clothing needs.
Kim's Kloset Owner Kim Powers donates 40 to 50 boxes of clothes every month to Moms On a Mission Exchange.
“It's all about servicing your community and making sure people are taken care of,” Powers said.
