TOWN OF ROCK—A Janesville woman had six children in her vehicle when she was arrested on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated just before 7 p.m. Monday, according to a Rock County Sheriff's Office news release.

The children were between the ages of 3 and 8. The driver was caring for four of the children, and the other two were her own, said Capt. Jude Maurer of the sheriff's office.

According to the release, the arrest was made when deputies responded to a crash on Highway 11 at Highway 51 in the town of Rock.

The driver, Cassy Schyvinck-Samret, 30, of 2014 Adel St., Janesville, registered a 0.16 percent blood-alcohol level, twice the legal limit, Maurer said.

Three families were called to pick up their children at the crash scene, Maurer said.

Maurer said the investigation did not include questions about whether Schyvinck-Samret was a day-care provider.

Gazette records show Schyvinck-Samret graduated in early childhood education from Blackhawk Technical College in 2009.

A 2012 YouTube video by a woman of the same name shows her lecturing about parenting and saying she has an associate degree in early childhood education and eight years of experience working with children, four of those with a preschool/day care.

Schyvinck-Samret also was cited for operating while intoxicated with passengers younger than 16, and operating without proof of insurance.

Additional citations could be issued during the ongoing investigation, according to the release.

This story was revised July 16, 2014, to reflect the following correction:

An earlier version of this article gave an incorrect address for a woman accused of intoxicated driving Monday with six children in her vehicle at the corner of highways 11 and 51 south of Janesville.

The address of Cassy Schyvinck-Samret, 30, is 2014 Adel St., Janesville, according to the Rock County Sheriff's Office.
