July 12, 2014

J. Stewart Grant, age of 62, of Fontana, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2014, with family by his side. Stewart was born in Burnley, England, and lived in Leicestershire, until 2010. Stewart was an entrepreneur and successful business owner. Katrina and Stewart met in 1998 through work and when Katrina was living in Lake Geneva, Stewart said, "I fell in love with the lake, and then fell in love with the girl." Katrina joined Stewart in England in 1999, where they welcomed his third child, Benjamin into the family. When Katrina and Stewart moved to Fontana, they were blessed with another child, Lily. From organizing family dinners to vacations, Stewart was always putting family first. He loved nothing more than entertaining a group of family and friends by providing great food and wine and could be often found by the stove or grill with glass in hand. If you weren't eating with him, you were probably having a conversation with him about what you would be eating next.

As a proud Englishman, Stewart loved sports such as rugby, soccer and cricket and enjoyed supporting his local teams, Leicester Tigers and Leicester City in the UK. After moving to the US, his sporting passion was extended to baseball and football as he became a fan of the Brewers and the Packers.

Stewart is survived by his wife, Katrina; four children: Lily (2), Benjamin (6) Sarah Grant (Lee) of Surrey, England, and Russell (Gemma) Grant and their children, Isabella and Juliette (grandchildren) of Leicestershire, England; his brother, Howard (Suzanne) Grant of Bradenton, FL, and his children, Simon (Fiona) Grant and their daughter, Georgina, Samantha (Stuart) Miller and their children, Poppy and George; his sister, Kathryn (Paul) Wiseman and their children: Daniel, Jessica and Hannah of Leicestershire.

A service will be held on Wednesday, July 16th at 11 am at the COMMUNITY CHURCH OF FONTANA. There will be a service in the UK at a later date for family and friends there. In lieu of flowers, Katrina and Stewart would like donations for Benjamin and Lily's college fund.

TOYNTON WALWORTH FUNERAL HOME is assisting the family.
