Farm Bureau Federation endorses Scieszinski
JANESVILLE—The Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation has endorsed Austin Scieszinski in his candidacy for the 15th Senate District seat.
“On many issues important to farmers in south central Wisconsin, Austin brings an open mind and an energy level to the 15th Senate District race that is refreshing,” said Farm Bureau spokesman Rob Richard. “We believe he has the genuine interests of farmers at heart and will be able to represent them with a strong voice in the state senate.”
Scieszinski said Rock County farms pump $1.45 billion into the local economy. Agriculture accounts for more than 6,000 jobs in the county, he said.
“Agriculture is an integral part of our culture and our economy,” he said. “Farmers work tireless hours to painstakingly tend to their crops and raise and care for their cattle or other animals. They're up before dawn and working until the sun sets. I want to take that farmer's work ethic to Madison.”
Scieszinski is running in the Aug. 12 Democratic primary against Janis Ringhand and Mike Sheridan.
