ORFORDVILLE--The family of 4-year-old Jada Strutt of Orfordville is planning a Sept. 23 fundraiser to cover the cost of therapy.

Jada suffers from CDKL5 disorder. She has daily seizures and cannot walk, talk, hold up her head or sit up. She is tube fed through her stomach.

Recently, Jada was accepted into an intensive therapy program in Michigan, Euro-Peds National Center for Intensive Pediatric Physical Therapy. It is a personal goal for Jada's mother, Wendi Bauling, that Jada make progress in being able to hold her head up.

Insurance won't cover the therapy, so the family is hoping to raise money to cover the expense.

“We really want to get Jada into this program,” Wendi said. “We need help covering the funds to make the trip.”

Wendi and the rest of Jada's family is hosting a fundraiser in Orfordville, Sept. 23.
