Edward E. Goodger, 90, of Milton, passed away early on Thursday, July 10, 2014, at Mercy Hospital, Janesville. Ed was born on April 13, 1924, in Lima Township, to the late Harry and Elsie (Wachlin) Goodger. He graduated from Milton High School in 1941. On Nov. 7, 1943, Ed married Ennes Johnson in Milton. He was involved in agriculture his whole life. He farmed in the Milton area, and then in 1968, started Goodger Grain Inc., which he owned and operated until his retirement in 1992. During his retirement years, he often drove to the local coffee shops in one of his vintage trucks that he had restored. Ed also spent many hours in his shop creating wooden furniture and gifts for his family and friends. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and the great stories he told.

Ed is survived by his sons: Jerry (Sally) Goodger, Doug Goodger, Roger (Diane) Goodger, Jim (Elaine) Goodger, Bill Goodger, all of Milton, WI; grandchildren: Andy, Julie, Stacy, Scott, Brian, Pat, Eric; great-grandchildren: Katelyn, Matthew, Emily, Samantha, Mason, Ethan, Taylor, Kelsey, Alden, Elyse; a brother, Jack Goodger; a sister, Betty Hanlon; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ennes Goodger; a sister, Roberta Jones; and a brother, Thomas Goodger.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, July 14, 2014, at the CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH, Milton, with Rev. Herb Saunders officiating. Burial will follow at Milton Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at the ALBRECHT FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATION SERVICES, MILTON from 5 until 7 PM and from 10 AM until the start of the service on Monday. A memorial will be established in Ed's name at a later date.
