Robert F. "Bob" Schroedl, Fort Atkinson, WI (1928-2014)

Robert F. “Bob” Schroedl, age 86, of Fort Atkinson, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 6, 1928, in Jefferson, son of the late Enos and Ottila (Werner) Schroedl. He married Lucille Richter on June 18, 1949, at St. Henry's Catholic Church in Watertown. Bob owned and operated Schroedl's Country Market for many years, until his retirement in 2011. Bob took great pleasure in the company of his family and took pride in his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was an avid card player and animal lover who enjoyed his country life. He is a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Parishes in Jefferson.
Bob will be deeply missed by his family: his wife, Lucille of Fort Atkinson; two daughters, Trudi (Greg) Green of Grand Rapids, MI, Tammy (Thomas) Reitz of Fort Atkinson; four sons: Dennis (Cindy) Schroedl of Jefferson, David (Janet) Schroedl of Fort Atkinson, Daniel (Connie) Schroedl of Taylorsville, GA, Dale (Shelley) Schroedl of Cambridge; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters: Marion Vogel of Jefferson, Dorothy Vogel of Jefferson, Alice "Susie" (Vern) Hoffman of Mercer WI; and three brothers: Herbert Schroedl, Paul Schroedl and Edward Schroedl, all of Jefferson. He was preceded in death by four brothers: Rueben, Clarence, Roger, and Alfred.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday July 14, 2014, at ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI CATHOLIC CHURCH, with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating. Burial will follow in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 until 5 p.m. on Sunday July 13, 2014, at the SCHNEIDER-MICHAELIS FUNERAL HOME in Jefferson, and, then again, from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass at
11 a.m. on Monday morning at the CHURCH.
