OCONOMOWOC--As the hits keep piling up, so do the wins for Janesville’s American Legion baseball team.

Post 205 banged out 28 hits in winning two games Friday at the Tri-State Classic.

Janesville bounced Beaver Dam, 13-3 in five innings in game one, and Logan Coulter’s complete-game three-hitter led Post 205 to a 12-0 win over host Oconomowoc in game two.

Janesville improved to 16-9 overall and has won four straight since returning from its 11-game road trip to Colorado.

“Everybody is hitting up and down the lineup,” Janesville coach Bob Schenck. “We had seven hits alone in the third inning against Beaver Dam.

“I think what I’m most happy about, though, is that we played much better defensively than we have. We only had one error against Oconomowoc.”

Coulter, who will be a senior at Janesville Parker, struck out nine and walked only one. He also contributed at the plate with three hits, including two doubles.

Brandon Hughes had four RBI for Post 205 against Oconomowoc.

In game one, Ryan Cashore went the distance to get the win. The Evansville High graduate allowed three hits and retired the last eight batters he faced.

Justin Graham had three hits for Post 205 in game one, including a two-run single as part of a six-run third.

Janesville plays Wisconsin Lutheran at 11:45 a.m. today.
