JANESVILLE—A Janesville man believed to have been struck by lightning Monday has died.
A death notice from Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, Janesville, for Gaylin E. Edwards, 63, Janesville, said he died Wednesday at Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center, Janesville. Edwards was taken to the hospital after he collapsed outside his vehicle during Monday night’s storm.
Edwards had stopped in traffic around 5:15 p.m. on Highway 14 near Interstate 90/39. Witnesses saw him get out of his vehicle and do something with a windshield wiper, according to Janesville police.
