Rock County

Arrests

— A 49-YEAR-OLD ROCK COUNTY JAIL INMATE, at 3:42 p.m. Tuesday for attempted suicide by hanging with the elastic from a bra strap. She will be transported to a Winnebago Mental Health Institute on an emergency medical detention.

— A 16-YEAR-OLD ROCK COUNTY YOUTH SERVICES INMATE, at 9:08 p.m. Tuesday, referred to juvenile authorities on a charge of attempted suicide. The boy tied a bed sheet around his neck and threatened to jump off the upper tier railing, according to a sheriff's office report.

— RODNEY L. WILLIAMS, 28, Beloit, at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at 502 Center Ave., Janesville, for a burglary following an apparent forced entry to a residence.

— DEWAYNE T. MASON, 19, of 772 Main St., Janesville, at 2:10 p.m. Tuesday at 51 S. Main St., Janesville, for one count of strangulation and suffocation following a domestic abuse incident.

Reported

— STOLEN CAR, at 4:44 a.m. Wednesday at a residence in the 200 block of Brakefield Drive, Janesville. A man said someone stole his wife's 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier car, which was parked in front of his home overnight.

— BURGLARY, at 5:13 p.m. Tuesday at Northrop Awning Company, 411 S. Pearl St., Janesville. The owner said someone forced entry to the business and stole $65 in cash.

Walworth County

Charged

— JOHN A. POHL, 47 of 818 Michigan St., No. 6, Delavan, with felony operating while under the influence. Walworth County deputies say on June 18, Pohl drove to a court appearance at the Walworth County Judicial Center in Elkhorn, drunk. It is reportedly his sixth offense.

— TARA A. SCHMIDT, 34, of N1295 Ivy Drive, Genoa City, with felony throwing bodily fluids at a public safety worker and misdemeanors battery and disorderly conduct. Walworth County deputies say on June 6, 2014, they responded to a call of a drunken female at Schmidt's residence. Schmidt was found intoxicated with a missing tooth. Schmidt reportedly fought with a relative at the home. Later, Schmidt was reportedly crying, blew her nose, and flipped her hand, which had nasal mucus on it at an officer. The mucus reportedly landed on a deputy's leg.

— NATHAN D. WEINGANDT, 21, of 115 N. Broad St., Lake Geneva, with felony substantial battery and misdemeanors bail jumping and disorderly conduct. Lake Geneva police say on June 12 Weingandt punched someone in the face at the Chateau Royale Hotel, Lake Geneva, resulting in a fractured sinus.
