Sunday's triathlon will close roads in Lake Geneva
LAKE GENEVA — In conjunction with the Big Foot Triathlon, S. Lakeshore Drive will be closed to traffic between E. South Street and Wisconsin Highway 120, Sunday, June 22, beginning at 6:30 a.m. Walworth County sheriff's deputies and officers from the Lake Geneva and the Linn Township police departments will assist with the road closure.
The triathlon begins at 7 a.m. Sunday with participants swimming at Big Foot Beach State Park in Lake Geneva, followed by the bike and run portions of the race.

Drivers should be aware that triathlon participants will be riding their bikes along the open roads of Walworth County southwest of Big Foot Beach State Park, 1452 S. Wells St. Bikers will be riding on the side of the road with traffic, so please use caution when approaching cyclists, and slow down when passing them. Police officers and sheriff's deputies will be at intersections to control traffic and keep participants safe.
