ORFORDVILLE—Nashville recording artist Ricky Lee will perform as part of a benefit concert Friday night at the American Legion Post 209 in Orfordville.

The show begins at 7 p.m., with Lee on stage from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m.

The Legion Post is located on State Road 213.

Lee's performance is being held in honor of military veterans. Proceeds from the event will benefit VetsRoll, an organization that helps send World War II and Korean War veterans to Washington, D.C., to be honored at their respective memorials.

Lee recently performed in honor of veterans at shows in Maryland and in Washington, D.C.

Lee's musical influences come from such famous artists as Elvis Presley and Dean Martin. He has been performing professionally since he was 16 years old, and he has written more than 300 songs.

Lee is the founder of the American Freedom tour, and he recently released his third CD titled “Ordinary Man.” Lee's other release, a patriotic CD titled "Freedom," includes 10 original songs he wrote.

Half the proceeds from "Freedom" have been donated to help veterans and service members in need.
