Frances L. (Thrasher) Lamb, 93, of Beloit, WI, died Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at Azura Memory Care in Beloit, WI. Frances was born Dec. 7, 1920, the daughter of Albert and Bessie (Frye) Thrasher. She married Raymond R Lamb on Nov. 30, 1935, in Belvidere, IL. He predeceased her on May 12, 1985. Frances was employed by Fairbanks Morse Engine for 31 years, retiring in 1983. She always put family first, but enjoyed crafts, activities such as fishing and bowling early in life and later there were motor home trips to Florida, with George, bus trips to Dubuque, but most of all sharing time with family and friends. Frances loved watching the grandchildren and great-grandchildren at family events. She was a fan of the Packers and also kept a collection of Betty Boop articles. Frances and George were also honorary members of the annual Beloit College Biathlon. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Fairbanks Morse Quarter Century Club, and the Moose Lodge Chapter #56. While a member of the Beloit Eagles Club Auxiliary Aerie #557, Frances was Mother of the year in 1993.

Frances is survived by her son, Leonard (Patsy) Lamb of Waco, TX; daughter, June (Doug) Card of Beloit, WI; grandchildren: Cherilyn (Mark) Wingate of Robinson, TX, Russell (Robyn) Lamb of Gainesville, TX, Derek Card of Madison, WI, and Jennifer Staggs of Beloit, WI; great-grandchildren: Jacob and Noah Wingate, Madison and Mackenzie Lamb, Brady, Dalton and William Card, Savana, Megan and Justine Staggs; great–great grandson, Mason; sister, Nana Hogan of Wisconsin Dells, WI; several nieces and nephews; and special companion of many years, George Sholes. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Ray; son, Ronald; daughter, Darlene (V. Howard) Moore; brothers: Ed, Bud, Bob, Don and Chuck; and sisters: Grace, Betty, Helen and Marie.

Funeral services for Frances will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2014, at the DALEY MURPHY WISCH & ASSOCIATES FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORIUM, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Pastor Norman Starks officiating. Burial will be in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, South Beloit, IL. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Sunday at the FUNERAL HOME.

Memorial may be given in Frances' name to Agrace Hospice Care.
