Snappers cap first half of season with walk-off

BELOIT—Tyler Marincov hit a two-run, walk-off home run to end a 12-inning marathon between the Beloit Snappers and Kane County Cougars on Sunday.

Marincov’s blast was the fifth combined in the game between the two teams, which combined for 19 total hits in the contest.

The Snappers scored twice in the bottom of the ninth to force the extra innings, and the Cougars took a 4-3 lead in the top of the 12th before Marincov connected to end the game.
