TOWN OF JANESVILLE—Two people were injured and a Janesville man was arrested on multiple charges after a one-vehicle injury crash Sunday afternoon, according to a Rock County Sheriff's Office news release.

Mark Brummond, 46, Janesville, was arrested on suspicion of operating while intoxicated, reported to be his fourth offense, and operating while intoxicated causing injury. He also was cited for operating a motor vehicle without insurance and unreasonable and imprudent speed, according to the release.

Deputies plus Janesville firefighters and paramedics responded to the crash at 3:53 p.m. Sunday on North River Road.

The investigation showed Brummond was driving south when he lost control of his vehicle while trying to negotiate some corners. The vehicle entered the ditch, hit a guard rail and rolled onto its roof. Speed and impairment are factors, according to the release.

Tammy Johnson, 44, of Westminster, Colorado, was a passenger in the vehicle.

Both received non-life threatening injuries and were taken to Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center, Janesville. Johnson was treated and released. Brummond was held for observation, according to the release.
