Roger L. Kayser; 68, of Elkhorn, WI, died Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Williams Bay Care Center, Williams Bay, WI. Roger was born August 24, 1945 in Burlington, WI, the son of the late Walter H. and Ruth U. (Burt) Kayser. He graduated from Elkhorn High School with the Class of 1963. Roger was united in marriage to Karen Lee Henry from 1965 to 1971, and Arvilla Eichinger from 1978 to 1990. Roger worked as a Tool and Die Maker for many years, working for General Motors, Raytheon, and Walker Industries, and retiring in the late 80's. Then he went trucking over the road, working for LCL and then himself before retiring in 2006. Roger was an avid sports fan enjoying the Brewers, Bucks and the Green Bay Packers. He enjoyed running with his dog.
Roger is survived by his son, Colonel Kurt (Joanne) Kayser of Woodbridge, VA, two grandchildren; Kaden and Allegra Kayser. Six brothers and sisters: Rosemarie (Edward) Enright of Lake Geneva, WI, Don (Karen) Kayser of Burlington, WI, Betty (Fred) Forrest of Clinton, WI, Alvin (Barb) Kayser of Milton, WI, Raymond (Jeanine) Kayser of Elkhorn, WI and Laverne (Ken) Aldrich of Elkhorn, WI. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Robert Kayser, and sister, Donna Hertel.
Funeral service will be 3:00 PM Monday June 16, 2014 at HAASE-LOCKWOOD & ASSOCIATES FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY 730 N. Wisconsin St. Elkhorn, WI with Rev. Robert Kamps officiating. Burial will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery Spring Prairie, WI. Visitation will be Monday at the FUNERAL HOME from 1:00 PM until time of service.
