JANESVILLE--Police reminded motorists about restricted traffic flow during the annual MDA Tub Run beginning at noon today.

Organized by the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the annual Tub Run is a charitable fundraising motorcycle ride that raises money to help children with muscular dystrophy.

Beginning at Kutter Harley Davidson, 3223 N. Pontiac Drive, riders will proceed south on Pontiac Drive to Ruger Avenue. They will then turn east onto Ruger Avenue, then south onto Wright Road, exiting Janesville.

Authorities will be posted at all traffic lights and major intersections as hundreds of motorcycles rumble through the intersections for about 30 minutes.

Today's event marks 20 years since the organizations' first run in 1995.

“It costs $800 to send one child to a week at Camp Wonderland,” said MDA Committee Chairman Dave Alwin. “In the past 20 years, we've been able to send 2,500 kids.”
