Charles Arvid Forstrom, age 64, died Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. He was born on July 8, 1949, in Stoughton, WI, the son of Harvey and Ruth (Hansen) Forstrom. He attended and graduated from Evansville High School Class of 1967. Charles married Ellen Wright on July 18, 1980, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Evansville. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Brodhead, WI. He worked in the maintenance department at Meriter Hospital for several years. He loved to farm and tinker with machinery, he also liked to work in the garden, go fishing, hunting and camping. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Charles is survived by his wife of almost 34 years, Ellen; his children: Mitzi (Paul) Bussard, Dan (Aggie) Fenrich, all of Evansville, Carol Shew of Janesville; four grandchildren: Joshua and Katelyn Wendt, Emilie and Alex Shew; two step grandchildren, Becky (Dario) Jorge and Joline (Tony) Scofield; a brother, Paul (Debi Liber) Forstrom; four sisters: JoAnn (Daryl) Disch, Sharon (Bob) Plantikow, Carol (Greg) Leuzinger, Debby (Terry) Jorgensen; two sisters-in-law, Ella Ruth Forstrom and Zulla Longton; a brother-in-law, Roger Neild; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Ruth Forstrom; brothers, Ronald and Jerry Forstrom; sisters, Janet Neild and Diane Forstrom; and a nephew, Keith Allen Neild.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Monday, June 9, 2014, at the CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE in Brodhead, WI, with Reverend David Krohn officiating. Burial will follow in East Magnolia Cemetery, Magnolia Township. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the CHURCH.
