ELKHORN—Walworth County and Kettle Moraine Land Trust will work together on future planning and improvements to the county's Natureland and Price parks, according to a news release.

Kettle Moraine Land Trust, a non-profit dedicated to preserving and protecting the Kettle Moraine, will: create a conceptual development plan for each park; create a detailed restoration and land management plans for habitat areas, and host at least one annually activity at each park.

Natureland is 122 acres and is near Whitewater Lake. Price Park is 66.3 acres and is off Hodunk Road near Interstate 43.

“The land trust has been great to work with in the past on park and open space planning, and we expect this new partnership agreement to build upon that working relationship,” Nancy Russell, county board president, said in the release.

The Walworth County Park Committee approved the agreement at its April meeting.
