Glen Loyd Videos: Footage captures real-life angry birds
Commenting on my video last week on a Red-tailed hawk, Janesville Gazette Reporter Neil Johnson told about one in his backyard on Lexington Drive and how the neighborhood crows sometimes scold and chase him off.
I witnessed the same thing happening recently to an eagle near Rotary Gardens. Dozens of crows dive-bombed the predator as he was flying and made him take cover in a tree. It's called mobbing. By the time I got my camera out it was over, but I have found a wonderful video which represents what I saw.
The video was shot and edited by Kevin Ebi, with additional footage by Jennifer Owen. By the way, Wikipedia says chickadees, jays and blackbirds go after intruders this way, too.
